NeverBefore - A Colony For Urban Change

So NeverBefore was conceived to recode desire and actualise that shimmering mirage: Urban Change.
Skye Williams was completing a Masters in Urban Planning that needed a project. A group of youngish people wanted something to do together. Then there was the environmental apocalypse darkening our horizons. With most thought and action backlit in this sinister fashion, a certain mania began to creep into our way of being. We liked it. We wanted to channel it.
The official brief became: ‘to explore what most compels people to initiate urban change and engage with their surroundings in a meaningful way’.  However, to engage issues of urban and climate change on such an instinctual level we needed a ‘clean’ space. A waka gliding into a dark and empty ocean.

Having crowd-sourced our funding we are now self-supporting and entirely focused on spreading Apocalypse Awareness, confronting people with radical solutions, generating and linking agents of change.
